Processing hemp fiber for paper and cardboard is a very high priority of ours. We focus is using fiber cultivars as well the stems from CBD harvests.
We’ve developed a unique workflow that uses food grade enzymes instead of lye or other toxic chemicals to remove pectin and lignin. Papermakers rave over how easy it is work with our procssed fiber and artists clamor to incorporate hemp paper into their art. Now we’re designing hemp processing tools that can be used at the time of harvest to separate the hurd from the bast.
Our R&D efforts are proof of concept exercises. The data we collect guides our future efforts. Data is good. More data is better.
