Both the marijuana and hemp markets base pricing on factors including the cannabinoid levels. Pot smokers care about visual bling-bling, how the buds look. Processors are more focused on the price/unit of THC and/or CBD.
The Cannabis Pricing Model is a spreadsheet that correlates cannabinoid content and valuation. It’s available as a Google Sheet and as an Excel spreadsheet.
The Cannabis Pricing Model allows apples-to-apples comparison of different piles of cannabis based on the cannabinoid profiles. Both hemp and cannabis are quickly evolving into bulk agricultural commodities and need to be evaluated as such.
Think of raw cannabis as ore containing two precious metals: CBD and THC. Factoring weight, price, and THC & CBD levels determines the true market value of a specific pile of cannabis. (Processors, you know what we’re talking about.) S/he who understands this model has an advantage over those who just doesn’t get it. The more dissimilar two samples are the more valuable tools like The Cannabis Pricing Model are.
