Jerry Whiting authored the Cannabis Breeder’s Rights, a licensing schema for hemp and cannabis genetics that’s similar to Creative Commons. There current version is available online at academia.edu.

The work LeBlanc CNE is engaged in now reflects several years of reading, daydreaming, tinkering, and writing a monthly column about hemp for 4 years for NW Leaf magazine. Those 600 word articles were my whiteboard, a journal of my thoughts as to how the hemp industry could and should evolve. A roadmap for growing hemp responsibly, for all the right reasons. It made me look at hemp as it is now and ponder what it could be if done right. Organically, regeneratively, putting the planet before profit, and trying to rewire the world while there’s still time. We were invited by the Washington State University hemp program at to design a field trial. Space Is The Place was my response to their invitaion. Unfortunately things didn’t go as planned so I wrote a post-mortem. In the end this lead to our current hemp agronomy software development.
